Marvellous Mosaic Masterpieces!

Before the half term holiday, Year 3 were extremely lucky to work with a mosaic artist called Lizzie Bean. Lizzie has worked all over Birmingham creating exciting outdoor art in a variety of environments. As a follow up to our Autumn term topic of Romans, we decided to brighten up our outdoor space with some mosaic art.

Year 3 were hard at work all week, designing and making mosaic tiles and a mosaic of the Kitwell logo. We were delighted with the results. The mosaic paving stones will soon be placed around our school grounds, we hope you will be impressed!

What a fun World Book Day!

A huge thank you to all the adults’, Parents’ and Carers’ who helped create such a brilliant World Book Day.  The costumes were incredible!  A fun day was had by all.

Congratulations to Mrs Kings (class 6) a.k.a. Mary Poppins,  who won the vote for best staff costume!

A big thank you to all the children too; you looked fantastic.

Enjoy Readathon, if you are taking part and I look forward to hearing about how many books you’ve read and how much money you have raised to help the Children’s Charities CLIC Sargent, which provides vital support to children and young people with Cancer and their families and Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, which helps seriously ill and disabled children.

Miss Clifton 😉
